One of the projects I explored during my university years focused
on the impact of human activity on the environment, and more specifically, how the evolution of the automotive industry
influences sustainability.

During my research, I discovered a French inventor, Guy Nègre, a former Formula 1 engineer who developed a remarkable concept, the compressed-air engine. The system used air stored under high pressure to generate mechanical energy, completely eliminating polluting emissions. The tanks were integrated into the car’s structure, while the engine converted air pressure into motion, a technically simple yet visionary solution.
Inspired by this idea, I began developing my own sketches and concept models, exploring how such a principle could be integrated into contemporary urban vehicle design. These proposals were later presented as part of my product design courses.
Although I never had the opportunity to share my concepts directly with the inventor, this project made me deeply appreciate the relationship between innovation, aesthetics, and sustainability, a balance that continues to guide my design approach today.
